How It Works

This pump uses two single stage orifices to create a very deep vacuum. Compressed air flows through a small orifice to generate a high velocity. The air expands, resulting in an area of reduced pressure. At the same time, some of the compressed air is directed through a very small orifice. The velocity is increased and the air is allowed to expand, creating a vacuum. The exhaust of the very small orifice is exhausted into a low pressure zone - lower than atmospheric pressure. This allows the very small orifice to generate vacuum levels up to 29.7"Hg.
